One of the best love story released in Malayalam cinema ever. Written and directed by Padmarajan is telling the story of love between Soloman and Sofia. Soloman own a wine yard in Bangalore. He fell in love with next house girl at his home town while he is on vacation from the farm. That girl is sofiya and Soloman wanted to marry her. Sofia was having problems with step father and he wanted to marry her some one else. He objects the relationship with mohanlal and threatens her. At the end the step father rape her so that soloman will not marry her. The movie ending with an unexpected climax when soloman accepts sofia and drove back his wine yard in his tanker lorry.
Mohnalal was superb as soloman in the movie. Malayalam actress Shari acted as Sofia also kaviyoor Ponnama, Thilakan and Vineeth are excellent in their roles. The songs in the movie Namukku Parkan are memorable and become evergreen specially the songs ‘Akashamake’ and ‘Pavizham Pol’.
