Manichithrathazhu is one of the best movie ever made in Malayalam cinema. The movie directed by Fazil with the help of other directors like Priyadarshan, Siddique Lal and Sibi malayail. The movie Manichithrathazhu run in theaters for more than 300 days and was earned huge collections.
The story of the movie influenced by the incident happened at Alumoottil tharavadu in 19th century ,central travancore of Kerala. The story is written by Madhu Muttam. This film got the national for the best entertaining movie and best actress award. Best actress award received by Malayalam actress shobhana who did an excellent performance who appear in the movie as Ganga and Nagavalli.
Ganga Nakulan arrives in Madampally tharavadu where Nagavally spirit is locked by a Karanavar . Ganga opens the door and Ganga become Nagvally and the movie become an interesting psychological thriller.
Suresh Gopi plays the role as Nakulan while Mohanlal coming as psychiatrist Dr Sunny Joseph. There are other charactors also with brilliant performances including Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, KPAC lalitha , kannada actress vinaya Prasad , Ganesh and Thilakan.
